Day Two of waking up early and already it's started to become a chore... OK, so it's not that bad. After all, I did a morning show for 5 1/2 years before moving to an afternoon show and various management positions.

Hi all! This morning we broke open the seal on 105.1 JACK FM's new morning show, JACK's Big Breakfast!

We'll be on the air Mon-Fri from 6-9a with real conversation, free stuff to giveaway, your phone calls, and much more!

We began a new feature today called JACK's 8 Tracks. Everyday at 8am and 8pm we'll play 8 songs on a theme or from a year...now, while JACK doesn't do requests, we will consider your opinions on the 8 Tracks, so feel free to put a theme list together and send it to btruta@1051jackfm.com. Remember - we play what we want, so if we like your list we'll play it; if not, too bad! This Sunday night, February 10th at 6p, the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that was filmed in KCK back in November will air on KMBC Channel 9.

This afternoon I got a chance to talk to Daniel Gilyeat (right), the Marine and father of 4 who received a new house from Kevin Green Homes and ABC Television as part of the show.

We got to know Daniel back in November when we first covered the makeover as the official radio station on-site, and I can tell you he is a hero to a lot of people.
