KC'S SHARK BARWhenever there's a big event at the Sprint Center, you can bet JACK-FM will be right across the street at the Shark Bar. Wander onto the gigantic dance floor, and you'd swear you had just stepped off the beach for a rum drink and some Bob Marley music.

Or, head out to the patio for a perfect view. No, silly -- a perfect view of the entertainment on the KC Live! stage, not a perfect view of the bar girls.
Jeff from the JACK-FM sales team says: hugs are better than drugs.
The kitchen crew shows off some of their creations. I recommend the jerk chicken, north shore shrimp, and especially the boardwalk sliders with cheese and ketchup. Tasty!
Bryan Truta from JACK's Big Breakfast wonders why he's got two hands, but only one beer.
CHEVY MALIBUThe folks from
Morse Chevrolet lent me a shiny red 2009 Chevy Malibu to try out for a month. Most people like 'em for their fuel efficiency, their super-quiet interiors, or their sophisticated on-board computer systems. I was even more thrilled with turn-by-turn directions from OnStar, not to mention the killer sound system!
HEAVY METAL
Truta and I were invited to tour the Chevy plant in Fairfax, Missouri. Imagine 85 acres of factory under one roof -- more than double the floor space of the Sprint Center! Plus, this enormous factory has a set of train tracks running straight through.
SANDALS? REALLY?For safety's sake, anyone not wearing proper protective gear on their feet must be carted through the walking tour. I teased Truta for wearing open-toed shoes at first. Then it dawned on me that he got to hang out with the gals and skip the long hike. Hmmm, maybe the boy is smarter than he looks after all, LOL.
WE ARE THE ROBOTS
Here, roughly 2,600 locals (and countless robots straight out of a Kraftwerk video) work 'round the clock to assemble the award-winning Chevy Malibu. (Big thanks to Steve Farr for the factory photos.)
